Christmas Event: Festive Feast at the Shore Street Women’s Event

Dive into the story of how Table transformed the annual Christmas event for Shore Street Presbyterian's women's group into a stress-free and enjoyable evening. Read on to discover how Krystal's solo catering effort not only delighted the guests with delicious food but also allowed the organisers to fully immerse in the joy of the event.

Transforming the Annual Christmas Event at Shore Street Presbyterian

Hello everyone! I’m Krystal from Table, and today I’m excited to share a heartwarming experience from a local church event that Table had the honour of catering this year.

The women’s group at Shore Street Presbyterian Church has been hosting an annual Christmas event for around 100 women for the last few years. Traditionally, the group members themselves took on the catering task, which, by their own admission, often led to stress and prevented them from fully enjoying the festivities. That’s where Table stepped in.

Angela Steele, a member of the church, shared her experience with us: “We have held an annual Christmas event for around 100 women the last few years. Doing the catering (badly) ourselves, we usually ended up stressed & not able to enjoy the night. Last year, Krystal (just herself) came & effortlessly managed to provide a delicious meal for everyone (previously took at least 5 of us!). The food was gorgeous, and we so appreciated her taking this stress off us & leaving us to enjoy the fellowship with everyone. Cannot recommend Krystal highly enough, she is booked again for this year!”

As a local caterer, it was both a challenge and a privilege to cater for such a large group single-handedly. The goal was not only to prepare a meal but to create an environment where the women could relax, connect and truly enjoy the spirit of Christmas. It was about transforming their annual event into a memorable celebration, free from the worries of cooking and serving.

Planning the menu, preparing the dishes, and ensuring everything ran smoothly on the day was a fulfilling experience. Seeing the joy and relief on the faces of the organisers and guests as they savoured the food and each other’s company was incredibly rewarding. It reinforced my belief in the power of good food and thoughtful service to elevate any gathering.

This opportunity to serve the women’s group at Shore Street Presbyterian Church was a reminder of what Table stands for – easing the burden of event hosting with quality catering and allowing hosts to immerse themselves in the joy of their events.

I am grateful to Angela and the church for trusting Table with their special event, and I’m thrilled to be invited back for this year’s celebration. It’s experiences like these that fuel my passion for catering and drive me to continue delivering memorable dining experiences.

Whether it’s a church event, a family gathering, or any other celebration, Table is committed to making each occasion special with delectable food and seamless service. Get in touch today!
